Dr. Janeen Olsen holds the position of Professor of Marketing at Sonoma State University (SSU) where she specializes in Wine Marketing and Marketing Management. She has been responsible for teaching courses in wine marketing, international marketing, marketing management, marketing research and for developing international exchanges and educational programs. She has also conducted export seminars for business executives in many Latin American cities and has organized and led international wine industry tours for the Wine Business Program at SSU. She is a coauthor of the book, Wine Marketing and Sales and has published extensively in marketing and international business journals and presented papers at conferences in Europe, Asia, Latin America as well as the US.
Her Ph.D. in Marketing, MBA with an International Marketing concentration, and BA in Spanish Literature are all from the University of Utah. She has also completed courses in the Viticulture Management Certificate program at SRJC, wine courses at the CIA in St. Helena, and is a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommelier.
