James Henderson

 

Mr. Henderson is a partner in the labor and employment firm of Messing Adam & Jasmine LLP.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree with highest honors in 1973 from the University of California Davis and graduated with a J.D. from the Stanford University School of Law in 1976.  Mr. Henderson currently has active membership in the State Bars of California and Washington and is admitted to practice in the state courts of each state, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and all the Federal District Courts in California except the Southern District.

Mr. Henderson’s primary focus is in employment litigation and counseling and mediation.  He has handled court and jury trials as well as binding arbitrations in a variety of matters including wrongful termination, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, real estate fraud, construction defect, personal injury involving catastrophic injury, inadequate security and motor vehicle consumer warranty.

Professional Distinctions

Mr. Henderson has been listed as a Northern California Super Lawyer in 2006, 2012, 2013 and 2014 in employment and labor law.  He has served as a judge pro tem for settlement conferences in San Francisco and Sacramento Counties and also serves as a Mediator in the Third District Court of Appeal Mediation Program.

Mr. Henderson has addressed public and private groups regarding various legal topics.  Most recently he was a panelist at the 2013 American Bar Association Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference held in New Orleans.  In addition, Mr. Henderson has served as a panelist and lecturer regarding a variety of employment and litigation issues.
