During my working career, before getting into the Gin business, I traveled over a million miles and spent 250 weeks overseas for work over ten years. While traveling, I was on the lookout for the best cocktail bars, and I’m always interested in trying different gins. While there were lots of gins that I enjoy, I couldn’t find a gin that met everything I was looking for, so I decided to solve the problem myself. At the same time, I was in The Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago, working on scalable business models. We designed our business around the principle that everything must be able to scale up or down, depending on our success as quickly and efficiently as possible with no business interruption.  We also decided that we would outsource activities to experts in each phase of operations. If someone can do it better or faster, hire them to do that job!
