Alex Grelli
Alexander Grelli is a flavor monger with an affinity for operations. Alex leads production and operations at Wigle Whiskey & Threadbare Cider & Mead. His love of craft spirits and wines was the spark that inspired the Meyer Grelli family to start Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider & Mead. Prior to co-founding these companies, Alex was an attorney at Reed Smith and before that a legal consultant. During his time in law school, he worked for a legal clinic that aided small businesses and budding entrepreneurs.
Alex has been named a James Beard Award Semi-Finalist and an Imbibe 75 Beverage Professionals to Watch. Alex received both is BA and JD from the University of Chicago, where he met his wife and business partner. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Alex is a Pittsburgh transplant with the boosterism of a true Burgh convert. Alex and Meredith live with their daughter and dog in Squirrel Hill.
